Finley Chastain committed to Tennessee recently. She’s an eight grader from Prosper. She had her first D1 scholarship offer in 7th grade from Arkansas. Offers from Texas, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and others. DMNews tomo

Hopefully getting Amina and providing a landing spot for Tree has firmly established a pipeline with DeSoto HS. I know it's early but 3 of the Top 25 players in ESPN's 2026 rankings are from DeSoto:
  • #19 PG Rieyan Desouze
  • #21 W Kamora Pruitt
  • #24 W Amari Byles

Devin Cosgriff: ESPN ranked #11. Wing. CLASS: 2026. 95. SCOUTS GRADE. Oakland, CAHometown; Bishop O'Dowd High School. 5-10 Height
Nice visitor!

Never a question about this but both Jacy and Addison Bjorn were officially offered. Bjorn’s confirmation was in her stories.

I knew that Addison Bjorn is ranked as a guard - didn’t realize she was so tall (6’ 3” according to her Instagram).

Sorry for the duplicate of Bjron's tweet with photos. I meant to post her Instagram post which included some additional photos, including the awesome group photo of those recruits in attendance this past weekend.

This is hilarious from Jacy Abii's parents (I think). As they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity, especially when its free! :e-face-tears:

The guy sitting in the recliner looks so familiar, but I can't place him; perhaps he's a club coach.

Jacy Abii sounds like a special player. Don't like it that both her parents played their college ball in Louisiana. Frisco Liberty won tonight and is one win away from advancing to the State tournament.

Frisco Liberty’s Jacy Abii could be the best player to ever come out of the Dallas area (dallasnews.com)

The 6-2 sophomore “point-forward,” as she refers to herself, won an AAU national title when she was in sixth grade, saw her recruiting explode the summer before ninth grade and went into this week averaging 20.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 3.2 steals and 1.1 blocks. She has become Liberty’s primary ball handler this season while becoming a lethal scorer after improving her outside shot, and her stats could be “ungodly,” Reedy said, if Liberty wasn’t involved in so many blowouts and wasn’t winning by an average of 20 points per game.

“She has great size, great dexterity, great hand-eye coordination,” Reedy said. “The things that make people complete players are their defensive capabilities and their willingness to share the ball, and she has all of those things. She is really smart and has a great IQ. She can play any position, one through five, and I don’t expect that to change much in college.”

Abii just seems like a Longhorn type player. Look at that smile, personality, charisma, body language…..call it what you want. Schaefer is getting that type player now…..Harmon, Moore, Booker, Lee, Carlton. Chavez in 2025 and Abii in 2026 would be a special fun group to watch. She doesn’t seem like a Mulkey type player. Hear that Abii!

And I like how the Schaefers enjoy a basketball game…..looks like popcorn for Pops and Nachos for daughter.

Watched some highlights on McKenna Wolitczko. #6 in ESPNW 2026 recruiting for 2026. She’s a real long, slender 6’-2” talented wing. A slasher with good footwork /fundamentals within 12 feet. No three point threat at all right now. Handles the ball well in transition and open court. Good passer with nice court vision. Moves well. Nose for the ball and crashes the board for offensive rebounds. She’s a 2026 so has lots of time to mature but right now would get pushed around in the range she operates in. Anybody would love to have her on their team.
