The most impressive part is the leadership skills he demonstrated against Port Arthur bringing his team from a 17-0 deficit to start and a 30-14 deficit at halftime to beat a very talented Port Arthur team.

Considering the coaching skills of Brandon Faircloth, his accomplishments are even more impressive. Rejecting Coach Danaher for Faircloth is exceeded only by Port Neches rejecting Gene Mayfield for OA Phillips, who stayed two years and finished second and third in district, while Mayfield is truly Texas High School coaching royalty.
 
Roschon Johnson has 294 yards passing, 231 yards rushing and NINE touchdowns tonight with 6 minutes left against Crosby

Johnson runs for a TENTH touchdown. On last play of game, Johnson came in as DB to make the final tackle of the game.

Crosby running back and Baylor commit Craig Williams had 344 rushing yards and four TDs

Every coach at PNG since Geme McCollum has been told there are two things that will get you fired:

1) Messing with football tickets

2) Losing to Nederland

Faircloth cannot beat Nederland on a regular basis.

That said, there were a large number of coaches that applied for the job including Phil Danaher, a legend, true Texas coaching royalty. You do NOT turn down Phil Danaher to take the OC from a oncewas Permian staff. STUPID! This is nothing that I didn't tell the superintendent along with lighting her up for providing the Beaumont Surprise a list of all candidates prior to offering to allow them to remove their name for privacy purposes.

I went and watched Travis vs Judson Saturday at DKR. Every play he was double teamed outside of sweeps away from his side. There were about 3 or 4 times he was tripled using the RB as well. He still put pressure on the QB even double teamed. Judson moved him around the front all day long.

Side note on Dicker our Kicker: Very confident young man. Nailed a 48 yarder and barely missed a 46 yarder. Made all of his extra point attempts. Kicked all Kickoffs into the end zone or out of the end zone but two. One from the 20 after a penalty and that one was all the way to the 8 yard line. The only bad one was right before the pylon out of bounds. He looked much bigger than I expected. Stocky kid.
 
Yes, and his dumbass coach had him still taking a pounding late in the game and down by 30+. Why he was in the game the last two series is nothing more than a tribute to Faircloth's mental midgetry.

Joe,

When I was a kid, my dad referred to it as "The Beaumont Surprise", because it is a surprise to everyone when they get anything right. That sticks today.

That said, Roschon is an exceptional talent and leader, as well as a quality young man.
