Whittington visited Florida and there was some rumor he might commit
But he left Gainesville without doing that
247 claims it has a source that said -- "there's no way in hell"

Check this out --I wonder if the ground was rumbling?

If someone can't quickly and early on in the recruiting process, or dating, or job offers, or car purchase, or house purchase, or pizza toppings, limit choices to 2 or 3 or 4, ... ??????

If he's a born and raised Texan, I might understand considering eAtMe, OU, and one or two of the Texas religion affiliated schools in addition to UT Austin, and maybe one or two out of state schools due to special academic program offerings, but 12? Guess you can get a bunch of free trips to Colorado and Utah with this approach.

Is there any NCAA limit on campus visits by recruits, or can you just get a bunch of free trips while telling everybody: "Boy, you sure do look pretty."

If this post concerns some that the recruit may read it and opt elsewhere, well...

A HS senior can take five official visits paid for by the school. He can take multiple unofficial visits paid for by his family or someone with "a natural relationship". If these are during football season, the recruit can receive up to three free tickets - Section 28.

The visit to Colorado is much less fun since Eddie Crowder retired. Now, they actually visit the campus. :)

Not even Mormons want to waste an official visit to BYU.

Illinois? Really? Must be someone interesting who replaced Locksley.

2019 QB commit Roschon Johnson last night against Lumberton:

9 carries for 71 yards & 3 TDs

10-15 for 258 yards & 2 TDs (54 & 86 yards)

Jordan Whittington: Another elite recruit will be in Austin this weekend and that is Cuero (TX) ’19 ATH Jordan Whittington. He’s been to Texas multiple times and and this will be his second visit of the season to Austin. He has also visited Texas A&M twice this season and has been to Florida as well. UCLA is the other school in his Top 4. He told me recently that he doesn’t have a leader but told me that Texas and Florida are the two schools standing out right now.

He told me he’d like to make a commitment sometime in December. While it wouldn’t surprise me if he did that, he’s pushed his commitment date back multiple times already. So I wouldn’t necessarily expect a decision to come in a month or so. Texas sits in a really nice spot with Whittington right now and have a chance to help themselves this weekend. – (Andrew)
