Some of these the ticket sales were not that horrible, it was just that the costs were so high

Surprised that Pop Star lost almost $40M. It'll make it back up in online sales and disks. It was pretty good. Samberg and Lonely Island fanboys will easily make that deficit shrink.
 
It had a lot of star power and got over 70 percent from the audiences and reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes. There was a "Hot Rod" vibe to it, except kind of mixed with Spinal Tap and the mockumentary style.
 
Sad to see War Dogs on that list. I think it was a very good, underappreciated movie.
