2015 Jordan Moore of Round Rock Stony Point

Hope she wants to stay close to home.

Time will tell if we add to our current 4-member 2015 recruiting class; doesn't seem like there is any more room, but tough to predict attrition.

Seems like we still might be recruiting several other 2015 post players besides Moore -- Ashley Hearn and Erin Degrate.

Then there's also JUCO sophomore post Adut Bulgak.

It seems like there's a good chance we'll add one more to our 2015 class, but can't really see us bringing in any more than that. Not solely because that's all the space we have, though five would put us at our scholarship limit. It just seems as if classes with six or more are hard to manage, for a variety of reasons.

Attrition is always a possibility, but perhaps less likely with the current roster; we have a solid group, with everyone contributing in varying degrees, and I don't think we're going to see many changes or departures the next few seasons.

In addition to Moore, Hearn and Degrate, I think Babhorn mentioned another 2015 recruit who attended our Big12 opener; Brooke Alexander from Plano. And even though Bulgak is 2014, she would use that final 2015 spot also. So looks like we have five possibilities to fill one last opening.

Don't forget that we already have two post commits for 2015: Justis Szczepanski-Beavers (6-4 P) and Jordan Hosey (6-2 F), both of whom could be an inch taller by the time they come in.

And we are looking at Lauren Cox (6-3 F) and Nancy Mulkey (6-9 C) in 2016.

Posts don't seem to be an area of need for 2015 which does not mean that the coaches wouldn't take one that they felt would be an outstanding player.

The numbers will work themselves out. I actually think a player or two could leave eventually based on a lack of playing time, especially with the very skilled players joining the team in 2014 & 2015.

Brady redshirted her first season, so no guarantee she will stay a fifth season.

Signing a JUCO like Adut Bulgak balances out the classes a bit, and actually would mean an additional 'ship for the super-talented 2016 class (where I'm currently predicting a 3-member class).

I would really like to add someone with good height to fill the outside shooting we'll be losing with Chassidy and GiGi moving on after this season. Too bad players like Heather Schreiber don't grow on trees.

No doubt the numbers always work out, one way or the other, but I still can't see our 2015 class being any larger than five, or at the most six players. And one less if Adut joins the 2014 group. With respect to Brady, I fully expect (and hope) she uses her full eligibility. She brings so much to this team, both on and off the court.

I'm still hopeful about Adut, but have no idea if that's going to happen or not. Agree 100% about Schreiber, and I've even wondered if Lilley might not be an option to fill that type of role at some point. In the few games I've see online, the commentators have mentioned what a nice shot she has, and she's probably the best FT shooter on the team. Obviously she hasn't made any 3 pt attempts because that's not her current role, and I don't know if that's even a strength for her. A lot would probably depend on the opponent, and matchups, but it's something that crossed my mind as a possibility.

I really would like the staff to bring in a player who is known for their outside shooting, but can also play inside and rebound. Who wouldn't? I don't see anyone in the next 2 classes replacing GiGi's size and skill set.

Finding a quality sub for Nneka next season is also important. We do have that 6'0 player from Colorado coming in, but hard to expect a freshman inside player to step in and give you quality minutes while Nneka is on the bench. This is where I think Adut Bulgak could really help Texas next season; plus, she'd be a senior starter most likely the year after Nneka is gone.

Otherwise, we'll be very young at the power forward position other than Nneka.

Interesting. I thought we were in hot pursuit of Jordan, and with Alyssa and Justis recently decommitting, I figured it was somehow tied to making room for Jordan. Not sure what to think of her final 3 schools. Best of luck to her.

Still lots of top 2015 kids uncommitted (sort of unusual). In Texas alone, uncommitted players include Ashley Hearn, Erin Degrate, Krya Lambert, Teiara McCowen among others.

As I posted recently, we are in the final five for that Canadian forward; so, appears we are still trying to add to our 2015 class.

With Moore, Hearn and Lambert (we didnt make her final 3) basically off the board this class doesnt look nearly as strong as it once did. Landing T Mac would certainly improve it, but thats a long shot based on a conversation I had with her mother and a former rocky relationship with GW's AAU team.

I guess it's all about perspective, and the little information we read about.

I don't recall reading anywhere that suggested we were ever involved with Lambert, Hearn, or McCowen; Lambert was an early commitment to A&M, but then de-committed. Hearn released a final five a couple of months ago, and we weren't part of it.

If you look at the roster numbers, we currently have one spot open for a late 2014 addition or an incoming transfer; that doesn't seem likely at this point. So, that leaves 3 'ships open for 2015 (assuming no attrition); with two verbal commitments intact, we have one opening for 2015.

If we are no longer involved with Moore, then that only leaves Willock (in her final five) and possibly Erin Degrate (pure speculation on my part) as targets.
