2014 Brianna Turner named to All Star team

6-3 Guard Brianna Turner has been named to the USA Today 2012 Preseason American Family Insurance ALL-USA Girls Basketball Team. Horns are putting a full court press on the junior guard from Manvel. She is one of two juniors named to the team and the only Texan to make the squad.

Full Court video interview on Inside Women’s Basketball when she was age 13, I think that was a couple of years ago. She could grab the rim at that age.

video showing Brianna in a game. Wearing # 11 in here. Certainly displays her ballhandling abilities, shot blocking and you have to love the way she can catch a ball in mid air and put it in the basket without coming down, either off a pass or a rebound.

Sure would be great if she decides to come to the 40 acres and continuing the trend that Coach Aston has started.

It would be great to keep her in Texas with the other great recruits. It's always great to have family and friends at the games too. With what we saw this weekend and the recruits we already have, I think we'll be competitive. Brianna might as well play with us as against us.

Just out of curiosity what do y'all think our chances with her are. I don't know much, are we in picture? Top 3 or somthing? I'm really impressed with what coach has been able to do so far and love the tireless approach she seems to be taking to the job which seems to be working. Can't wait for this season and the future.

Haven't heard that Brianna has eliminated Texas. Horns are still in the running and have a 2015 verbal, Jordan Hosey, who is her HS teammate who should be telling her all about Texas. And maybe bringing her to see some games. Would love for her watch the Horns in person.
