that's good. I was going by the scoreboard on the DMN (Cleburne 54 Granbury 33). The UIL website doesn't have the score. Glad to hear that Granbury is moving on.

Manvel losing is a surprise to me considering they also had Brianna Turner, the # 1 or 2 ranked 2014 player.
 
I watched Clear Springs earlier this year. They have a good team, a few players committed to D1 teams. I haven't seen Manvel play, but I'm not surprised Clear Springs could beat a really good team. If they make it to Austin, go see McCarty play! She was the player of the game for Clear Springs. Box Score

Aledo takes on El Paso Hanks today at Snyder’s The Coliseum at 2 PM in the 4A Region 1 regional final.

League City Clear Springs plays Katy Seven Lakes at 4 PM at Aldine ISD’s M.O. Campbell Center in the 5A Region 3 regional final.

Spring Dekaney and Pflugerville square off at 6 PM at Baylor’s Ferrel Center in the 5A Region 2 regional final.
 
Aledo advances to the state semis, squeezing by Hanks, 50-48. They will play No. 1-ranked Georgetown, a 41-30 winner over Tomball.

Pflugerville stops Dekaney & Brianna Taylor (2013 Texas signee), 68-59 and advances to 5A state semis where they will face Cibolo Steele, a 58-54 winner over San Antonio Wagner. Pflugerville is ranked # 2 by TABC/Tex Preps Basketball Magazine with Steele at # 20.

LC Clear Springs with 2014 Texas commit Brooke McCarty takes down Katy Seven Lakes 55-44 to advance to the state 5A semis vs Duncanville. Clear Springs is ranked # 3 by TABC/Tex Preps Basketball Magazine while Duncanville is # 1.
 
It will be interesting Friday pm as Clear Springs and McCarty take on Duncanville. The pressure defense will be intense. The near term future of the Horns depend on McCarty based on current and next year's point guards. McCarty goes from 35 points in region semi-finals to not her team's best game(her assessment) in the region finals. The young lady going to TCU is the real deal and she and McCarty have to step up. I have not seen McCarty play and would love to see her and assess our future.
 
I have seen Clear Springs play and they are not very tall, so I'm not sure how they will match up with the duncanville team. CS is very scrappy and very defensive minded.
 
I will be able to watch Aledo in their Thursday game via the web since the first 4A game is at 7 pm.

Don't know yet if I will be able to do the same with Clear Springs as one 5A semi starts at 3 PM and the other is the last game that night.

Texas coaches should get a good look at Ariel Atkins, a 2014 G from Duncanville, still undecided, when Duncanvlle takes on Clear Springs Friday at 3pm in the first 5A semifinals. Brooke McCarty, a 2014 G who is committed to Texas, will lead Clear Springs.
