Mario Edwards' video looks like a 6-star, 500 pound bully. He could prolly go right to the NFL.

Any idea why Texas didn't get that guy? FSU also landed the #10 overall and 3rd top DE on their list.

This class is looking solid without him.

pharm, i believe mario's dad played for fsu, and the dad's relationship with fsu is extraordinarily tight for some reason that i don't recall.

it was hoped early on that mario would be open to staying in texas, but obviously that wasn't the case.  apparently, there was no chance to bring him in, especially following last season's nose dive.

incidentally, numerous pretty savvy observers are puzzled at how high mario has shown up in some of the rankings.  the thinking is that he is an elite player but not an elite pass-rushing d-end.  i've seen him described as a superb lamarr houston-type end and quick tackle.  certainly a very highly regarded player but not someone you'd sell the farm to get, like e campbell or v young.

i'm sure our guys would dearly love to have mario on the team, but this one we just have to wave bye-bye to and murmur some good wishes.

No wonder FSU kicked Bowden to the curb. Well, I guess they didn't really kick him to the curb, but they certainly nudged him off the bus.
