I honestly don't keep up with baseball recruiting near as much as football or basketball - probably because the elite recruits seem to always sign a pro contract - but I'd be interested in other's insights on the guys we have coming in. Specifically, which ones have a shot at replacing Torres, Belt, Clark, etc. I have to imagine Workman or Dicharry will get the first shot to replace Wood as the Closer. I do know enough about the returning guys to be stoked over our weekend starting pitching of Jungmann, Ruffin & Green. There is no reason we shouldn't be in Omaha next June.

Keyes is taking over for Belt ... with Sam Stafford as the lead candidate for the vacant LF spot.

Etier is the leader at 2B, Kevin Lusson will most likely take over for Torres at 3rd.

Tucker is still on the team, but as a Grad Asst.

Actually, it's RF ... but yes, it's Stafford. I talked to numerous players last week, they all say he is absolutely raking from the left side of the plate.

Wow, I had some hope of Stafford going to the back end of the bullpen. I did not know that he was in consideration for a spot in the line up. Reminds me a little of the great David Maroul...
