Evidently the Longhorns visited with DJ Jones, Denison, yesterday. I would love to hear how that visit went. FSSW named DJ as the top runningback in all classes in their show last night. He has racked up 2251 yards rushing in 182 carries this year and 32 rushing TD's. He also has a receiving TD and returned a kickoff for a TD last night.
 
Anyone else notice the recruit out of Hattiesburg MS that has us on his list? I wonder how much the VY connection will come into play with this one. Looks like he may not want to leave MS based on his list (Ole Miss, Miss St and Southern Miss). If he leaves the state, I think we have a very legit shot and an edge over Florida and Bama.
 
I also like the name on the QB out of LA named Broadway. That goes great with our histroy of great QB names (first or last)

Prior to the 2008 season, Washington had never played football before. At 6-foot-5 290 pounds, Washington has been a quick study and has quickly become one of the top prospects in the state of Texas. His good pedigree helps: his father Marvin was an 11-yar NFL veteran.


I've never heard of Marvin Washington. Has anybody around here?

Remember the name Nate Askew from SA Madison.

He is on a running team that features a heck of a RB but he is a monster WR that will make that list off his measurables he is big strong and fast. Reminds me of Malcolm Williams.
 
Trovon Reed is an all star and should be a top 10 player in the nation, will not leave Louisiana.

Terrance Broadway is the one player that LSU needs the most due to a lack of depth at QB, and is one of the top 2 players in Louisiana.
 
Lee is the likely starter, but Hatch isn't a division 1 type QB.
Many LSU fans are wondering if Lee can shake the effects of this season. Lee tints to throw a floating pass every 4-5 attempts into double coverage.

Most LSU fans have already penciled in Sheppard as the starter going into next season.

J. Jefferson will likely rs next season, if you watched the Ole Miss game you will know why.

So Sheppard is going to be in the top 2 coming in to LSU at mid term.

And Chris Garrett will rs also, and Hatch will be a 4th year Jr.

So that leaves LSU looking at this depth in 2010:
