200m Beijing Men's Final

Spinning off the lolo thread, how crappy was it when the announcer was interviewing "that guy" after the event and "that guy" was obvioulsy pretty pissed off. Get the friggen mic out of his face! It sucks that this is the one of most important days in these people's lives and we can't let them be emotional about it without jamming a camera in their face

late viewing? they showed it in primetime here in the States and the race was completed over 15 hours ago. i don't think spoilers need to apply at this point.

I agree about the 'sideline' guy at the "Bird's Nest". I can't believe the composure these guys are able to keep in the face of such obvious inflammatory questioning. That guy and Andrea Kramer and the gymnastics sideline reporter must have really put in some long hours studying the techniques of their predecessor and consummate professional, Jim Gray: The Link (couldn't find a youtube clip)

I can't ever remember seeing a race where the winner broke a world record no one thought would be broken in our lifetimes. And broke it with a headwind. This was a race for the age. More guys under 20 than any 200m before it - with 5.

Then both the Silver and Bronze winners DQ'd for lane violations. And they blantantly stepped on the line multiple times.

No one intentionally commits a lane violation. But you could see Spearmon trying to stay with Dix on the corner and nearly ran up his right backside.
