2009 Texas Baseball Commit

Waxahachie pitcher/first baseman Colton Cain said he has orally committed to play baseball for Texas. As a junior this season, Cain was 12-1 with a 0.78 ERA and hit .486 with nine home runs and 45 RBIs for 4A state runner-up Waxahachie. Cain pitched a five-hit shutout, struck out 12 and homered in Waxahachie's state semifinal win over Birdville.

Maybe a draft risk as a hitter. Not a prototype body guy for the bigs. Built more like Moldenhauer.
