Here's a Rivals article on the 2009 recruiting class enrolled rankings and freshman making an impact this year. Texas moves up one spot.

Interesting. Doesn't change their evaluation of any of the players since they were last evaluated in what February. But at least looks at teams that may have lost some from signing day to 1st game. Not sure I understand the reasoning for USC going from #4 to #7. Other teams have a 'loss' listed and didn't drop like that.

I would be interested in seeing this kind of evaluation for the 2008 class now. We could see after the guys had a year to play what their ranking is now.....basically rerank the entire class for each time. In addition you would remove any players who never reported to the team or have since left. It would be kind of like not getting team rankings until October vs. using preseason rankings.

For Texas, 4 of our top 5 recruits have already seen playing time.....Gilbert, Okafor, Walters, Davis. I think most of the rest of the class will redshirt. Vaccarro, Mims, Matthews, I believe have played but in limited role or on special teams.

Another comment on the rivals sooner comment. Great for their class of '09, but where does that put the classes of 08, 07, and 06, all of which were highly ranked?
Doesn't look too good looking back to now have true frosh come in and litter the depth charts. It reminds me of Mack's first 3-4 classes.

I think enrolled ranking makes more sense than reanking the class in February. Who cares who you sign, it's who you matriculate that counts.
