2009 BB Recruiting

Man does that look like it will be a great class!

My questions to those who follow the national BB recruiting landscape more thoroughly than I do:

1) What are the chances of another top 100 national prospect being added to the class?

2) Who of the current commit group may be in the NBA without coming to UT?

3) Do we have a shot at the top class in the country?

1) What are the chances of another top 100 national prospect being added to the class?

Possible. Have to see how things unfold. I know we are recruiting Kenny Boynton (sp?) out of Florida. Supposed to be a Duke/Florida battle...though I hear USC might be a player, too. We'll see.

2) Who of the current commit group may be in the NBA without coming to UT?

No one. You cannot directly go straight to the NBA out of high school. They all must go to college for at least one year.

3) Do we have a shot at the top class in the country?

Right now, I would put us with the no. 2 overall class behind UNC. We add one more blue-chip, and that could very well put us at no. 1.

wilson is big ten bound, and johnson has last three, all of which are big 12 (oklahoma kansas and texas)
1) johnson and boynton we have a chance at, but it depends on if brown gets on the roster or not.
2) yeah hamilton could probably go straight to the nba, maybe bradley, but bradley will probably stay a couple years, i wouldnt be suprised if hamilton left after one year
3) top 5 class probably not "top" class because north carolina has 5 commits already all of which are in the top 100
if jcovan doesnt qualify, or another player leaves (besides james, who will most likely left) or tranfers , yeah we will probably attempt to sign another player, which could propel us into the number one spot

Great class no matter if we add another player or not. Thank you Rick Barnes.

However, out of curiosity. Is there any change John Wall takes a visit to the 40 acres? Could be a great selling point playing with Hamilton & Bradley.
