No need to worry. Rice is simply terrible this year. They might not even beat ULALA- By far the worst team Wayne Graham has had in years. They can't hit good pitching, field like a little league team, and the pitching is pretty hit or miss. If the Horns manage to make it to the game without getting lost they will win. It reminds me of the year UT was so overmatched at the Reckling regional.
Agree or disagree with these if you must but here are my thoughts on the brackets
Texas got a decent draw. Rice may still have Graham but I don't think they're the Rice of old. They're dangerous but overall I think Texas has the edge. The roles are certainly reversed from two years ago at Reckling.
Arkansas got jammed, like them or not. That's a CWS quality team that's getting screwed by having to go to ASU for the Supers.
Someone call the L.A. fire department because UCLA got screwed as well. National seed or not, LSU and UCI in that bracket, and then if they survive that they face CSU-Fullerton or Stanford. That's no joke of a draw.
OU won't make it out of their region. Cal or UNC will and I'm betting on Cal doing the trick.
Aggies got a good draw and I think they will defeat Miami and move on to Gainesville for the Supers. I'd much rather be in Miami than Fort Worth as Miami is not as good as the Frogs.
Coastal Carolina must have done some major ***-kissing because they got the easiest draw in this bracket. Will be shocked if they do not make Omaha.
Oregon got severely jammed by having to go all the way across the country for their regional. Top 10 in ISRThe Link (FAR more credible than the RPI), in a tough conference with a tough schedule and for their efforts they get a 3 and get sent to Connecticut. I wonder how the selection committee lives with itself sometimes.
Last thing, I'm hoping for a Texas/TCU Super. That will be a donnybrook, again.
The aggys definitely got an easy draw for their regional. I am hoping that OU can make it out as I don't think Cal is all they are made out to be and I'd love to see more Big XII teams in the Supers.
