BA's: Tex - .256 Moreland - .255 - PUSH

HR's/RBI: Tex - 33/108 Moreland 9/25 - No brainer right?

AB's: Tex - 601 Moreland - 145 Tex has 4.14 times more AB's

Thus, Moreland projected: 37/104

Obviously, Moreland HASN"T batted 601 times, but he's on same exact pace as Texeira.

An arguement could be made that Tex's defense is better than MM's (and about every other 1b).

Of course, being Ranger fans we're not going to make an arguement in favor of Texiera over MM right now

In all, I've been happy with MM's play at 1b and his production-- and this is coming from a Chris Davis advocate/ apologist. I'd give MM another yr before tossing Josh in at 1b.

Obviously Texeira's defense is tops but he's also viewed as the big power guy. So far, so good.

Mitch has had some great AB's this series. Just hoping Wash doesn't insert Cantu anymore. Mitch's defense has been far better than Cantu as well.

My defense and hitting have been about as good as Cantu's. I heard a lot of good things when he came over, but he has been bad.

The last minute trade deadline trades didn't work out (Guzman/Cantu). But in Jon Daniels defense he was dealing witlh Kinsler injury and Smoak had been traded. You gotta give him A for Effort.

Those 2 didn't work out - but as it turned out Kinsler came back strong and Moreland developed. No harm, no foul.
