I recently bought a sweet vintage stereo w/ a turntable, 100 W tube amp, and JBL l100 speakers. Ive been trying to find records from my favorite groups from the day ..........Zeitgeist, glass eye, doctors mob, texas instruments, true believers, Not for sale

I'll be in town for football season so i was wondering if anyone can recommend a used vinyl store that would be prone to having the stuff I want?

Also, if any one has anything they want to part with , feel free to pm me

Send me a pm with detailed info on what you want. I won't give you any of 'em out of my collection but I shop for music quite a bit. I can add them to my list of things to look out for and even have some people at the stores look for them too. They don't always remember but sometimes they do.

Then when you get to town, if I find any of them, you can pay me then for them rather than bother with shipping. For my services and time you will have to donate ten bucks or so to your local Humane Society in the name of Rusty.

In that order for what you're looking for. Cheapo has the largest collection, but plan to dedicate a few hours to this venture as nothing is well organized.

The mention of 80's era vinyl brings back memories of my many visits to Inner Sanctum Records on 24th during the 70's and early 80's before they closed the doors. A trip over there usually included breakfast, or lunch next door at Les Amis.

...and with lunch, a pitcher of Shiner for $1.25.

Not vinyl, but a buddy of mine is trying to rerelease the True Believers album on CD. I had it on vinyl but don't remember it even being initially released on CD. Hopefully it will work out.
I still have Zeitgeist/Translate Slowing on vinyl but my CD copy shows them at The Reivers. Good stuff. Best of luck with your search.
