Fear, is your sig pic a photo of Norman, Mobilhoma?

And that game looks awesome. What system will it be on?

Man, I used to play the crap out of 1942 at the Gold Mine in Northcross Mall, back in the day. That and Ikari Warriors. Brings back memories...

no offense, but the gold mine did not exist at northcross mall. le fun did, at least pretty sure that was the name of it. the gold mine did exist at highland mall though. good times, my mom would give me a dollar and she'd shop while i played for a solid 45 minutes to an hour. damn, it was hell deciding which games to spend my money on. back then the coolest thing in the world to me was having ten WHOLE dollars to spend at an arcade, i swear i had dreams that that was what winning the lottery meant. that one dollar is probably the reason i am so good at video games now...

on the flip side, what kind of parent gives their kid a buck and leaves them to be at an arcade? i guess it was safe, i never gave her a reason to think it wasnt but i'm pretty sure that would be a huge no no in this day and age. but this day and age is kinda ****** in the head so i'll give the benefit of the doubt to yesteryear...

Loved 'em both. The goldmine rocked - thing was a CAVE! I remember playing QBert in the back corner of that place. But my favorite, by far, was Afterburner at Northcross. It was $.50, tho, so you have to pick your times - usually when mom was there to give you more quarters. I also beat Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles there, but I swear it took me about $8.

That's right, youngster, there was a Gold Mine at Northcross. An hour there, followed by lunch at the Chick-fil-a next-door, was about as good as it gets.

As for Le Fun, for me it'll always be on the Drag, in that Scientology building (post-playing meals there were usually at Whataburger).

Anyone play Aero Fighters (same concept)? I used to dominate that game every time we went to Sweet Mesquite in Houston for little league celebrations.
