#15 Kentucky at Horns

We’re down 41-37 at half. Tre with 15 pts.

This is one of the games we probably were expected to lose down the stretch so a win would be a huge plus.
 
We can’t hit from deep 3 for 17 from 3. Typical Texas playing to the level of the opponent. We’ve caught Kentucky on an off night but we can’t take advantage.
 
That final 2 minutes is as good of a 2 minute stretch as we have played all year. Meaningless 3 at the buzzer by UK made final look closer than it was.

Tre hit clutch FTs down the stretch.
 
The season was on life support coming in with the plug about to be pulled. It is still on life support but now there is a path. Texas has to win at least 3 of these last five and it would really be better to win 4 of the last 5 to be sure. A 20 regular season win Texas is absolutely in the tournament, a 19 regular season win Texas is 50/50 leaning towards in but who knows.
 
Interesting but ESPN had us in the tournament before the game and had Georgia on the last 4 out.

Are they projecting 11-12 SEC teams in the tourney?
 
Our Jekyll and Hyde season continues. Great win with our backs against the wall. Keep it close and give yourself a chance to win. We fought back, didn’t fold, and reached down deep to pull out the win.

I posted on another thread that Terry’s mo is lose a couple that on paper the Horns should win and win a couple that on paper they should lose. Same as last year. It is a good win, props to the players especially Tre Johnson, who Texas will need to have similar performances the rest of the season. I still feel like the win is fool’s gold. Can’t see Texas contending for conference or national championships with Terry at the helm.
 
You guys are going to look foolish if tourney Terry wins 2 games in ncaa tourney. Compare total NCAA tourney wins per total seasons at Texas for Terry, Penders, Barnes, and Shaka (big fat zero in his case). Need to find a different metric if you want to fire Terry.

but to win one game means you have to be in the tournament.
