12 year-old girl grounded; sues dad; wins

What in the hell???

That ruling is complete *********. And so is the "reasoning" behind it.

I hope everyone realizes that's in Quebec, and based on a fairly specific law that we sure as **** don't have in Texas.

Lucie Fortin, the lawyer representing the 12-year-old, said the judge found that depriving the girl of the school trip was an excessive punishment.

She said the girl has already been forbidden to use the Internet and her father also punished her by cancelling her participation in an extracurricular event.

i guess when the government decides a grounding is too excessive a punishment for a spoiled brat we are all in trouble. this judge is beyond pathetic...i mean seriously...WTF?

Chick judge making an afterschool special moment rather than respecting the jurisdiction of the father.

I would calmly tell my daughter that if she goes on the trip, she can spend the rest of the summer living with her attorney or the judge.

This isn't surprising; it's the same country where the government decides how many GB you can download to your PC per month.
