10 Takeaways From The Fiscal Fight

Why does the house need to move immigration bills? The people don't want a massive immigration bill that wont do jack **** to stop the flow of illegals into this country.

We need actual Reps and Senators that will stand up and say NO more.

We need more fiscal conservative people that will actually cut spending. A stand needs to be taken and not one cent more should be spent until we actually have a REAL CUT in spending.
 
Having moved east, I have a new perspective on one of the issues that's come out lately which is targeting of moderates in more liberal parts of the country. You're not going to get a hard-line conservative coming out of New England, so unless you're ready to secede from the union, you're going to have to ally yourself with SOMEONE out there. We need to have better ways of having those discussions rather than each side running to the nearest media member who wants to get the two sides fighting.

Have you ever seen the media trying to goad "moderate" liberals into attacking Nancy Pelosi? No? That's because they're not trying to do that. They don't want the Dems infighting. And the Dems have such a stranglehold on the moderates in their party that there's no hint of division.

When was the last time the Dems gave a pro-life democrat a speaking role in the convention and let them talk about being pro-life? When was the last time Harry Reid called out Democrat pro-gun ownership proponents as "fringe whack-jobs"?

It doesn't happen, because moderates know they're supposed to be seen and not heard, and if they start pushing their views, they're going to be marginalized and shut down. The GOP has never tried to control its ranks in that manner - they instead fall into the media trap of whining about it in front of the cameras. It's stupid, and if the party had any leadership, it would be fixed.

For those of you thinking the Republicans are going to win the Senate, have you not learned? You thought Romney would win, and that you would win this latest fight. I mean, come on .... what world do you live in? Que: I live in a world that believes in Freedom and whatever I can use to rationalize the fact that I haven't convinced enough of the public that I'm right.
