#10 Spring Roster

I was noticing on the spring roster that nobody was wearing #10.
Kirkendoll and Robinson are wearing different numbers now.

I don't live in Texas anymore, but about a week ago I heard a sports radio guy talking about Texas retiring Vince's number. He said the criteria was POY and MVPs in National Championship years. He said that would me Texas is retiring Earl's, Ricky's, and Vinces jerseys. He also said that Texas would be retiring TJ Ford and Kevin Durant's jerseys. He went on a rant that Durant could have his jersey retired because, in his opinion, KD only came to Texas because the NBA eligibilty rules changes.

The way he talked about it, I thought he had read a press release or something.

When are the NFL schedules released? The Titans bye week would have to occur on one of our 7 home games for the retirement to happen this year.

I think it's kind of cool to keep the numbers out there and only giving them to special players or players who have the potential to be special. I think it's a great motivational tool. The kid wearing #10 will treat it as an honor.
