$1 billion for free cell phones

What incentive does a bureaucrat have for cutting cost? It's just money from the money tree. Pick some today and tomorrow there will be more.
 
When I'm in certain parts of town, I see these "Free Cell Phones!" booths everywhere.

I can see somewhat providing landlines. Ostensibly this would allow people to receive and make calls for EMPLOYMENT and of course for emergency. medical calls.

But cell phones?
I always wondered how people using Lone Star food stamp cards had newer smart phones than I did.

This program needs to be cut back. if people want Cells maybe that would be an incentive to work
 
how dare you even think to try and take their free cell phones away. You can't take their phones away or they might not vote for The one anymore.

What did you do today? Well I just sat around on my *** in my gvt housing, talking on my gvt cell phone and then I went to the store and got cash off my CHIP and unemployment card to buy smokes, cigs and some cronic....yeah life is good!

You need to learn the correct lingo used by the "Julias and Jons." ( no offense to anyone names Julia or Jon who work. BO ues julia)

CHIP is the childrens health insurance program which subsidizes purchase of private health insurance for children. it is a very very worthy program for low income families but it can extend up to people making 87K. That is another topic

the card you would use to get your cash for beer and cigs is your EBT ( electronic benefit transfer ) card.
In Texas if i understand it the same card- Lone Star- is used for SNAP ( food stamps) WIC ( food for women infants and children) and TANF( temporary Assistance for needy families )
and it is the TANF portion of your EBT card that allows you to get cash to buy your beer.
