My personal opinions:

Aggie spin has been that our nfl coaching experience would give us an edge in recruiting.

When five star quarterback Garrett Gilbert got head to head offers from both A&M and UT, it didn't take him long to dispell that bs!

A coaching staff that recruits four and five star athletes says " it's about winning".

A coaching staff that recruits the two and three star athletes that are left over, says " it's about player development".

I love bashing Aggies as much as the next guy but I think this move was decided way before Sherm came to town. The kid lives in Austin and has been around UT football for years.

As good of a class as OU had this year in Texas, I think Texas might have an even better class in 2008. This is definitely a hot start...

I realize there are always transfers and academic or miscellaneous casualties, but isn't 2009 shaping up to be a small class in terms of numbers. I read somewhere there may be as few as 15 scholarships available. I know there are creative ways to get the number higher, but that still seems like a low baseline from which to start.

I think it is pretty obvious that a lot of guys hinge on what Shepard wants to do, and I think our staff knows that...

if gilbert, shephard, mcfarland and whaley are included in those 15 - 18, i won't give a **** where rivals ranks us.

A&M might as well give up now. I mean if you dont have your 2009 class firmed up two day after signing day 2008, you are really in deep ****.
