For us old timers...

This game smacks of the BMW game vs. Xavier. They had Derrick Strong and Tyrone Hill... Two GREAT bigs but nothing at guard.

The BMW, after being down by 16, tore them up and we won the game.

That might be a good comparison... I remember Texas not shooting well at all the first half, then hardly missing in the second... Whoever is able to hit their shots consistently is going to win.

Somewhere, I have a tape of that second half.

I don't know that the campus area was ever more fired-up about a basketball game as it was that Thursday night. We were the last game on that night, and followed the UConn / Clemson game where Scottie Burrel threw the court-length inbounds pass down into the corner where someone hit a buzzer beater. Our game didn't end until 11:30 or midnight, and afterward the streets were packed with people honking and raising hell for several more hours...good times...

if memory serves me the BMW consisted of:

Blanks, Mays, and Wright

Fun times, but we always seemed to lose to the piggies.

So what you're saying is that whomever puts in the most buckets and gets the points that is the greatest should come out on the top and be the big winner??
