2024 Trump Transition

HHD, under same guise opening up the books on things like the JFk papers is not going to sit well with many still living participants.
What "participants" are still alive?

As my good friend used to tell me when I would ask when he was going to tell me the truth, "Son, you realize I'm the only one associated with that deal that's still alive and NONE of the rest of them died of natural causes"

Mr. Deez said:
it'll relate to cocaine use and banging young chicks
When did this become a negative? We really are living in Bizarro world.

Yes, but the demz in the House started an ethics investigation and were about to release their findings as early as next week. By resigning that effort to kick him out of the House was automatically closed and was supposed to stay sealed.

The demz in the Senate now want it released. Looked for a leaked copy in 3, 2, 1.

The House is controlled by Republicans. I'm sure Democrats wanted the investigation, but it's not their choice alone to do it.

And I'm an open government guy. The House Ethics Committee operates on government time at taxpayer expense. Unless there's a true national security interest at stake, the reports and evidence found by the committee should be public. Resignation should have no bearing on the matter. You shouldn't get to act like lowlife in Congress, get caught doing so, and then quit at the last second so people won't know what a slimy MoFo you are.

And if the Senate has authority to confirm or reject the person as cabinet member, the report should certainly be released. If it's not, you can bet your a$$ that the Senate will subpoena the girl for testimony when it holds hearings on Gaetz's confirmation. They'd be derelict in their duties if they didn't.

If that is the case release all ethics investigations ever. You cannot pick and choose.

The only way this could get any better is if Trump withdrew Hegseth, and instead appointed Bannon as the Secretary of Defense.

And one last thing--kill the politically correct Orwellian language. Re-name the Department of Defense back to it's original name, the Department of War.

Part of it is PC, but a lot of it is the transition to a permanent wartime economy. Why would you put a lot of money and resources into a Department of War when there is no war going on? Much easier to justify putting a lot of money and resources into a Department of Defense because there's always a threat.

Bongino framed it perfectly today.

Trump was slow picking cabinet and others in 2016. It gave Dems time to target and crush good candidates like Michael Clark ( not sure of that name).

Trump is FLOODING THE ZONE naming his picks to lead.

28, I counted today. Too many good picks for lowly Dems to focus on and target to go after with the time left....

Bawhawhahaa!
Eat it Dems!!!

Dr. Oz?? In Trump's cabinet?
This guy is a major charlatan. No bueno

He has some decent picks - Rubio (State), Stefanik (UN), Homan (Border), Collins (VA), Waltz (NSA), Burgum (Interior), Wright (Energy), Duffy (Transportation), Lutnick (Commerce), Zeldin (EPA). Pending the conclusiveness of the allegations in his personal life, I don't even have a big problem with Hegseth. I don't have a big problem with Musk and Vivek looking out for government efficiency, even if it means Mrs. Deez losing her job. I won't like it if that happens, but something needs to be done to rein in costs and make our government give a crap about wasting money.

But he has named some enormous clowns. Obviously, Gaetz is an atrocious pick for AG, even if the rape allegations are false.

And RFK, Jr. at HHS? He's a guy the GOP would have ridiculed to no end 10 years ago and rightly so. Hell, we made fun of John Edwards for far less. Yes, after 30 years of being an environmentalist crackpot, he found some credibility on Covid since even a broken clock will be right twice a day, but that doesn't undo the idiocy of his entire rest of his career. And we're hearing about banning certain foods? Since when do conservatives talk like that?

Oz to run CMS? Please. There's a reason why the voters in PA chose a mental patient over him.

Gabbard as DNI? Let's recall that she was AOC before AOC. I wouldn't put her in any kind of position of influence.

The Senate should hold hearings on all of these people, and it wouldn't shock me if some of them go down. Some of them should. Trump won to a great extent, because the Democrats were freaks and weirdos. No reason for us to put our own freaks and weirdos in positions of power.

I'm cool with everybody but Oz. The guy has no problem with transgender surgery for kids.

RFK is bad on abortion, and though he's not running the EPA, he's a radical on the environment. Just not sure that a guy that leftist is a good pick to run a pretty woke agency.

No, but Musk and Vivek aren't going to personally look at all 19 million federal employees in great detail. They just don't have the time to do that. And remember, she's not in a classroom teaching kids. She's an administrator tasked with helping kids at military bases that don't have DoDEA schools find and coordinate education and especially special ed services. If you're a kid or even a parent in a new country, that's very daunting. She makes it easy for you.

Well, that gives her job a bit of a Tom Smykowski feel. She's not personally teaching kids (though she does personally write Individual Education Plans for kids). An "efficiency expert" who doesn't look at the cultural and human element side of things could ask why US military families can't just talk to the UK school officials themselves and navigate the process like a British family would. Of course, the answer is that there are big differences between the US and UK systems, and your average parent wouldn't even know where to start or what all the lingo means. But will her job get looked at in that level of detail? Maybe but not necessarily.

FWIW, when government shutdowns happen, she's deemed "nonessential" like most administrators who aren't chief level.

I haven't followed RFJjr yet but will.
The one example I saw was him questioning why Froot Loop sold in USA have harmful artificial dyes and perservatives while those in Canada do not. The data on the harm these dyes and perservatives do to children is frightening. Kellog promised it would stop using them years ago but hasn't.
Why would there be anything political about banning a product known to be harmful to children?
