I’m curious about the view from the Cotton Bowl, Section 8, Row 66, Seats 1-10. Does anyone know what the viewing corridor looks like from there? I know it’s in the shade and at the top of Section 8. There are concrete poles around Row 51 that support the upper deck, but I’m not sure if these seats have obstructed views. Can anyone provide more details? Thanks, and Hook 'em!
I refuse to sit in the lower deck partly because of the poles. Some of those ten seats will likely be obstructed, but I think there are about 32 seats per row, so maybe not.
@pluckeye Try the link below. It has photos of field views from different spots around the Cotton Bowl. It may not have your exact location but maybe something close enough. There are 3 pages of results so when you get to the bottom you can navigate to the next pages. https://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/Cotton+Bowl/seating/all/
Here’s section 10, row 50 ... not too far from your seats https://aviewfrommyseat.com/large-photo/95982/Cotton+Bowl/section-10/row-50/seat-13/
Thanks for all the replies. I was able to tap dance across Section 8 into section 9 to seats with no obstructions, in front of the concrete upper-deck support structures. All good!
Save me a seat in the food building since you'll get there before the elevator gets me down to the ground.
The pillars start around Row 53 in the middle of the field. I've never had a real issue with obstructed views, but I've typically sat on the other side (Sect 21-23). The only time I think I ever made a comment about something being obstructed was Ahmad Brooks' game-sealing INT against Heupel in 1999. The rest of the game, I barely notice them.
