Surprised we did not trademark the U in the T. Tenn is using it.

 

Tennessee sued The University over the use of "UT" and did not prevail. Basically, Tennessee can have exclusive use in the State of Tennessee. Texas can use it everywhere else.

 

As long as we fight for the Longhorn emblem. That is our moneymaker.

 

It is trademarked.

 

I seem to recall from business law class that the Mississippi River separated that.
