Mess with the bull, get the horns.

Or in this unique case in history, I suppose it's mess with the red heifer, get the horns!

In the modern world, Isolationism and Pacifism have proven to be ineffective, enabling of tyrants, and irresponsible.

Pacifism works if every nation is Pacifist. That's obviously not the case. Malevolent bully nations like Iran, Red China, Russia, and North Korea would invade, conquer, kill, and enslave their neighbors if their neighbors couldn't fight back. They've done it before, and they'd do it again if they could.

Grown adults shouldn't still eat a diet of baby food. Grow up and understand the real world you live in. And understand and remember that many have sacrificed for you and your freedoms. Freedom is not the default human condition, it has to be fought for at times.

The isolationists never do this. They never consider what anyone would do if they knew we'd do nothing. They just assume that everybody would live in peace and could never threaten the US or its interests.

If they were big economic nationalists that wanted to make everything at home and could therefore ignore everything outside their borders until it physically showed up, it would be more defensible, but most of them are big free traders. A free trader who's a foreign policy isolationist is like an animal rights activist opening a burger stand. You're working against your own priorities.

Free traders (which includes most people to one degree or another) have enjoyed around 75 years of the best free trade times in world history. The USN had a lot to do with it. Before this unprecedented era in human history, merchantmen had to be guarded by their own nations' navies. Almost all navigable waters have never been free to all merchantmen until the past 75 years or so.

And you can see what a few handful of jackasses can do to shut down key waterways (the Red Sea/Suez, the Malacca Straits, the Persian/Arabian Gulf). All it takes now is for the insurers to get frightened.

The ability to free trade is not the historical norm. It takes a Navy with reach.

The protests are happening now on campus. The cancer has arrived. This could kick Trump over the top. He is unequivocal about stamping this out.

Think about what is happening; in addition to the open border campaign, we have people in our country demanding that we help disarm Israel by stopping the flow of money and arms their way, all while the Palestinians and Iran are ready to pounce. They are literally trying to impede the will of our government so that more Israeli's will be killed.

In my opinion, they are now the enemy of our nation because they will embolden others who wish to see us collapse.

The Squad and AOC need to be outed as agents for a foreign nation and Liberals had better fast figure this out or they will be seen as their collaborators. At best, Liberals are the most naive, politically corrupt (obsessed about votes) movement in the modern era and their coddling of their constituents have created the spoiled behavior we are now seeing.

And as far as I am concerned, any student refusing to disperse should be permanently kicked out of the university and the federal government should log their name on the "do not forgive their loan" list. At a minimum.

That is exactly what I believe.

I would consider anyone sending money and weapons out of our country into another as agents of a foreign nation. The list is way longer than simply "the squad". They are purposefully weakening America for the purpose of strengthening another country. It is a betrayal of the highest order.

At the same time, law and order is very important. I support the removal of those who are participating in public disruptions. The more threatening they get the more force should be used against them, because it protects America and Americans.

Well, there's agents and there's the consensus of our government to support our allies. That's the difference I see. The encouragement sounded off by AOC is anarchistic and she is completely out of control now. She was quiet for a while but this is what she wants; it's a platform for her egomania and hatred of whatever it is she hates.

If the consensus of the government is to jail you, flog you, or kill you, I will remember not to say anything about then. You should be totally okay with it.

It is also the consensus of the government to allow illegal immigration to run rampant. You should never criticize that again either.

Well, based upon your response I have no idea where you stand.

It is not the consensus of our government to have open borders. It is the consent of Liberals and their representatives. Israel has allies on both sides. Only Liberals are not so enamored with Israel.

We can argue all the little details, but what we have here is the enemy of Israel with it's de facto agents operating within our borders. If you don't see that then I don't know what to think.

I'm afraid that would cause Dems to fast track names into a loan forgiveness program.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Thank UT graduate Gov. Greg Abbott and UT Prez. Greg Hartzell for assertive action today on this Hamas organized campus "protest" that probably was designed to turn eventually into violence and destruction.

Don't mess with Texas Hamas, Iran, F' George Soros !!

Interesting quotes used by the media only say how it was peaceful until cops showed up. How about blaming the Palestine group for going through with the protest when they were denied permission for that date or even UT admins for calling the cops, if you think the protest denial was illegal.

The Liberal media is clearly covering up. When you focus on the Liberal construct of micro-aggression's, you will understand the depth of the hypocrisy and lying. Peaceful is a lie in the context of Liberal sensitivities.

It absolutely is the consensus. That is why there is 0 effort to close the US border and deport illegals and billions of dollars leaving our country to secure other countries' borders.

The little details is closing the border? But the most important thing going on in America has to do with Israel? This is upside down world I guess.

I saw the videos of police arresting protesters on campus. Not sure what was going on before the police showed up though. In general I don't like mass gatherings of people with unclear motives, because it could get real ugly real fast.

Now, need Abbott to do this on the border more.

    Mona,

I have not entered into your friendly discussion, but I have one very serious question, which you may choose to answer or not. Either way, I cannot afford to be drawn into this fray.

Where were you living in 87-89?

To me, that is worthy of arrest. Don't let people like this disrupt the public.

Does arresting do anything if the county DA has made her mind up to not press charges on everyone?
