Inside Texas says Broughton and family didn't leave Herman's office until 10:30 on Saturday night after the spring game. Also, he should be an EE

From TFB (Super K) --

A big visitor who snuck in this weekend was 2020 LB Josh White. The reason this visit is significant is because after his recent LSU visit, I got the impression from Josh that he wasn’t planning on visiting Texas for the Spring Game and perhaps not at all. I’m told the visit went well and it’s sounding like like Texas may actually get him back on campus again with his mother. LSU is a tough one to beat here but this is a step in the right direction.

I am also told that Texas took another big step with 2020 DB, Jahari Rogers. The significance of this is that not only is Rogers is a dynamic and sharp player but he is an OU legacy. I never thought it would happen given his ties to OU but I’m beginning to really believe Texas can land Rogers.

Any chance one of his coaches was once a Texas All-American? Seriously, do we have a shot?

He has only 4 CBs. They are split between tOSU and Georgia.
But we do get one of a limited number of his OVs and I like to think we have at least a chance with anyone we manage to get on campus.

ps - we offered him back in Feb

Mookie’s still on the table?

It sounds like he has not made his mind up yet. The last school he was mentioned with is Miami.

From the Mike Roach chat --

I see Mookie Cooper has been somewhat posting about Texas on social media. We still in the running?

Our guy in the midwest Allen Trieu reported that Texas would receive a visit from Cooper, and It's not surprising. Cooper was basically a silent for almost a year before making his decision and quickly backing out. If Texas gets him back on campus, I think they have a chance to win him back.

"The spring game was great. I got to meet a lot of people. I loved everything about Texas and what they have going for them."....

Where do you think Texas stands with Bijan Robinson after the visit?

I don't think any schools are really separating for Robinson yet, but I think Texas put themselves in position to move away from the pack if that makes sense. This staff does a great job making out of state prospects feel at home, and they do a ton of research to make a total pitch for those recruits. They did all of those things from what I know. For a prospect like Robinson, it's about hooking him on the first visit and getting him to come back once again. IF they can get him on campus for another unofficial and a following official, I like their chances with anyone.

My how things have changed from the later Mack and Charlie years... (and if you young fans think our recruiting was clueless and lazy back then, you should have seen the McWilliams years).
