2017 Texas Bowl - Texas v. Missouri on Dec. 27

It was used to win a Texas State Championship nearly twenty years before Glanville was born, Besides, did Glanville ever have an original thought?

Hint: one of the greatest college coaches ever ran it in HS in the teens.
 
It was invented by Coach Fricke (sp) at Greenville HS, where he coached Robert Neyland. Greenville used it in 1923 (??) to win the state championship.

Port Neches used it against Alice in the semifinals in 1955 to win on the last play of the game. The Indians tried it in the middle of the season at South Park and it failed miserably.
 
Besides Connor Williams, Deshon Elliott, Holton Hill, and Malik Jefferson not playing, we are supposed to have three more players "with starter talent" out injured for the bowl game.

One of them is Chris Nelson (elbow) but I am not sure on the other two.

The other players who will not play in the Texas Bowl against Missouri are Lil Jordan Humphrey, Toneil Carter and Garrett Gray for the dreaded "violating team rules"

The total now, I think, who will miss our Bowl are --

OL Connor Williams
S DeShon Elliott
CB Holton Hill
LB Malik Jefferson
RB Toneil Carter
WR Lil Jordan Humphrey
TE Chris Warren
TE Garrett Gray
DL Chris Nelson

No biggy, right?

ps - Dickson will play -- but we probably wont even need him, right?

It still chaps me a bit that Warren couldn't stick around and see that he had possibly more upside as a TE.

Sorry, Joe, but I was referring to my old friend Joe, who has all the shine stands at Reliant/NRG Park. Man can make Converse AllStars look like patent leather.
