Conner Vasek was injured last year. His father, the Westlake defensive line coach, said Conner has perhaps greater potential than Colton. Somehow he ends up a longhorn. He has many offers.

The side benefit of Westlake players is they are able to recruit informally and they are local. They, their friends and girlfriends know all the best spots..they have boats on Lake Austin. They were an important part of Manning’s recruitment. It’s natural to want to hang with the locals when one is new in town. It’s the thing to do on an unofficial visit since player to player contact is not limited by the NCAA.

Baker made it to Brown's high school today and Texas is in a "very good spot", per OTF, with the family loving their March visit to Austin.

The main competition right now is LSU.

OTF reporting Coach Banks stopped by the school of five-star WR offer Dallas Wilson for several hours today.

Texas has been recruiting him quietly for a long time and are attempting to get an official visit scheduled.

Dallas Wilson, Tampa Bay Tech, Wide Receiver

OTF added that LSU and Texas should be considered Ffrench's Top 2 schools, with Ohio State slipping.

They mentioned Texas has a real shot here due to Sark, the offensive scheme, player development and the academic/football combination which his mother also happens to be a fan of.

Per OTF, Coach Baker was in Georgia today and saw DT offer Kevin Wynn, and he is now scheduled to officially visit Texas on June 14th.

Alabama and Florida State are considered his leaders at this point.

Kevin Wynn, Greene County, Defensive Line

South from 247 wrote today that things are definitely trending towards RB James Simon, and away from RB Jordon Davison.

He changed his Texas crystal ball for Davison to Ohio State.

Texas is a magnet for graduates because of massive population differences. Dallas is the third most populous city in Texas. Norman is the third most populous city in Oklahoma.

WalMart loves both groups of invaders - the ones from the South and the ones from the north.

OTF reporting there's a chance that Petty will officially visit Texas on June 14th instead of Oregon, and that's the only way the staff will have a real shot here.

As for Gaston, he's a heavy Georgia lean and they wouldn't be surprised if he never makes it to Austin

We certainly have a absurd amount of talent in the RB room as well. If Sark wants him then why not!!!

`The move towards Simon is a result of the staff understanding Davison is favoring Ohio State.

He doesn't like the depth chart at Texas and hasn't even scheduled an official to Austin.

Ohio State's will be wide open after this season.
