Even though Vic recruited the 6'7 Vasconcelos out of high school, she couldn't earn any playing time at Baylor which had nobody taller than 6'2, I believe. I'd pass on her this time around unless there was a really good reason she didn't get any playing time at Baylor.

So can someone share the link to the pic or video of the recruiting get together at Coach Vic's house? What is Blair's Story?

Regarding Vasconcelos , Google her name and check out her videos. She looks very athletic to me for her size. I really don't know what happened at Baylor unless she had some injuries.

Thank you. I could not make out who was wearing the cut-off blue-jeans shorts since the smiley face was blocking it. I guess it could be Timea?

The same thing happened to Vasconcelos at Baylor that happened to Danae Fritz who transferred in from being a starter at Iowa State to hardly ever seeing the floor at Baylor. Collen has no clue. Hell, in her first year she inherited a team that had two first round WNBA draft picks and couldn't get off of her own home court in the NCAA's after losing to us in the Big 12 Championship. She appears to be very likable but she's not much of a coach. That Sweet 16 appearance this year was a fluke. They got sent to Virginia Tech who was missing their 6'6" American post player due to a knee injury. Baylor still barely got past them.

The two young women behind Elena Lovato with their backs toward the camera both had long, straight dark brown hair (one slightly darker than the other). While hair styles can be changed, that doesn't match the hair style of any of the Oregon State players (like Timea or Donovyn) who were attending an OSU event Thursday night. Can't for the life of me think who these two recruits (or one recruit and a guest) could be. And, frame doesn't match that what I think be that of Kyla Oldacre.

Gardiner supposedly had a final four of Southern Cal, Utah, Louisville and Kentucky as of a week ago or so. Of course, things could change.

Do not know if this means anything, but just noticed both Coach Elena and Coach Wis are following Timea Gardiner on Facebook. That was not the case yesterday, when it was only @TexasWBB.

Gardiner is my wish list headliner. Although Deyona was a tough loss, I consider Timea an upgrade. More consistent than D and a tad more length. And an extra year of eligibility. She would instantly become our best 3-pt shooter and would challenge Madi for our top FT.

Sorry, I meant to say Twitter, not Facebook.

Yes, I think Timea is the top Post left in the portal, behind Raegan Beers.

At church today, Wes Moore’s best friend from high school gave me an update on NCState. Moore is trying to recruit a couple of bigs out of the portal. The guards that beat us will be back but they graduated a couple of bigs. According to Moore, you cant win without an inside game. A REVELATION! So LOTS of teams out there looking for bigs. So where is the big in Austin this weekend and who is she and will she join.

twitter became very unreliable (for me) a couple of years ago when it came to trying to identify which follows were recent and which were old. Instagram has been much more reliable other the occasional refresh issue.

Checking twitter today, I see nothing of any our coaches or TexasWBB following Timea Gardiner or any new transfers.

Disregard that. Those schools were for Talia von Oelhoffen.

It's been very quiet on Gardiner. Think she visited Utah.

UConn fans are already complaining about this get, stating "we don't need another PG, we need post players". It seems quality post players are at a premium right now at more places than TX. It was a strength for us, but may become our achilles' heel. WBB portal ends on May 1st. I think our draw is going to have to be for players who want to compete for championships rather than being absorbed with minutes played.

I guess there is a reason for the coaches to continue to look for big players online.

Do most players that enter the portal know before doing so if specific programs are interested? I feel sure Deyona knew she would be offered by Auburn. What happens to portal entrants who get no offers?

I can't find any follows by her of anyone related to Texas.
I know she has some connection with an assistant coach there, but she is still going to a program with a coach that just simply can't get past the first round of the tournament, even with talented teams. I hope she at least got a decent NIL package out of it.

Good pick up for us, ok waiting on one more trick up Vic sleeve cause Oldacre wasn’t the one in that video I think she visited a min back tbh.
