Yeah the orange base is definitely not right. Maybe the ring manufacturer was limited on their color choices?

I think the materials are the same, why couldn't have they just used the Burnt Orange for the rectangular part? Basically it is a sticker underneath the glass part of the ring right?

Tourney championship warrants a ring ??? I thought that should be reserved for regular season titles.

The Big 12 Tournament is a Big 12 Championship that not only gets the winning team rings, but a trophy too.

It also gets you an automatic bid to the NCAA Tourney, just like the basketball tournament does, which is also designated as a Big 12 Championship.

It's always been this way.

Augie didn't have anything to do with the design of those rings or the color scheme. Do you really think any coach does?

Are you sure the Bevo head is painted? At the angle of the photo, looks like it could be gold, just dark because of the angle.

In that case, no burnt orange on the ring at all.

Seeing as how much success Augie has had as being, at least in my opinion, hands down the best college baseball coach in the history of the sport, I doubt he cares at all what conference tournament ring designs are.

Regardless, despite the clash, I like it! I played with some of those guys in high school, and no one deserves a ring much more than people like Parker French or Collin Shaw. Those guys were tremendous leaders

Yea, I know all about him. He's got a solid case, no doubt. But the argument Augie would have over him is winning championships in four different decades, as well as being the all time wins leader.
