Wait too much happening all at once Amina is heading to Oregon that’s kinda weird but a good move none the less.
Extremely mobile for her size and is a big present in the paint. Very similar to Taylor Jones on the defensive end in terms of blocked shots but also has the tendency to foul a bit. She has so much potential offensively and hasn’t even scratched the surface on what she can do.
Miami only averaged 66 points a game. Oldacre has the height and bulk not many can compete with. She will need to dedicate herself to improving and working hard this offseason at Texas. With 2 years of eligibility remaining, she will be in line to be our starting Center in 2025-26 after Taylor Jones moves on. https://storage.googleapis.com/hurricanesports-com/2024/03/2f3d418b-um-overall-single.pdf
I really thought Amina could do better than an Oregon team who is nosediving year after year and losing multiple starters to the portal. But, if she wants to be a starter, that should happen in Eugene.
Amina is definitely the best of that incoming group. No shade on Amina but the shine has definitely worn off the ugliest court in college basketball.
That was a super-fast announcement by Amina Muhammad today as she barely entered the transfer portal 5-6 days ago. I'm sorry to see her go, but wish her the best. She is talented enough to be a starter at so many programs. But, this turnaround happening so fast definitely leaves me with a lot of questions . . .
Exactly what Texas needed, a back up center to complement Jones. Although Kyla has the potential to be a starter if she can improve on her game.
It certainly makes Oklahoma a contender. They return everyone and an inside player is what they've always been missing.
Exactly... and with Jones' history of nagging injuries and missing games, who knows? It would be nice to get one more post player with size.
A great pick up by Vic to help shore up post play. Looks like they recruited her back in 2022 but she chose Miami. Would like to get another quality Post player in the portal.
When I watched Blair's IG story from Vic's gamenight on Friday, I definitely did not think it was Kyla Oldacre who was the transfer recruit(s) in attendance. I know the opinions on here were mixed. I will say that Oldacre's transfer recruitment seemed to very hush-hush on social media. No mention the last 4 weeks or so since entered the portal of any college visits or schools of interest.
I understand her wanting privacy during the process... and I respect every person associated with our program for respecting her privacy.
I was talking about everyone (not just Texas-related) seeming to not having insight on social media. If not for Blair following her on IG back in late March, I'd have never known we expressed any interest.
