With the Walt Anderson incompetence tour, we got a flag for heavy breathing.

I know that this will sound crazy but after reviewing the Texas roster for 24, it wouldn’t surprise me if the draft numbers for 2025 were not only above what we just saw, but well above. I counted 24 players that would appear to have a good shot at being drafted next year. Many, a lock.

    Sark is assembling a juggernaut.

It was late here in Portugal.
I wanted to be sure I got my point across so I posted it twice. :smile1:

I also saw somewhere that JWhitt went to the Chargers and posted that.
Seems I should've remained an observer for the evening.

What an outstanding night for the Horns!
Good luck to all our draftees.

Sark’s offense puts RB’s in position to showcase their skills in so many ways. All these guys run, block, catch and hustle. And they’re team players. Roshon and Bijan set great examples. And Jonathan and Keilan kept it going.
    Hook ‘em!

Since Pompoms gave me a “WTF,” let me make my case. This assumes no major injury to the player, no dramatic and unexpected regression in performance, and no major off-field issues.

    Locks, Top 10: 2 Players

    Quinn Ewers - Top 5
    Kelvin Banks - Too 10

    Locks: 15 Players

Jahdae Barron - By the 3rd.
Jaydon Blue - By the 2nd.
    Isaiah Bond - Early rounds
Ethan Burke - If he declares
DJ Campbell - If he declares. Hope he stays.
Alfred Collins - Could be high if he plays well.
    Hayden Conner
Matthew Golden - Could climb up.
    Gunnar Helm
    Gavin Holmes
    Cole Hudson
    Jake Majors
Trey Moore - By the 3rd.
    Andrew Mukuba
    Barryn Sorrell

    Likely to be drafted: 4

    Mo Blackwell
    David Gbenda
Amari Niblack - Might move to lock status.
    Tiaoalii Savea

    May be drafted. Will
    make a roster: 5

    Bert Auburn
    Kendrick Blackshire
    Justice Finkley
Jaylon Guilbeau - If he declares. Likely to move to lock.
    Michael Taaffe

I listed 26 players. Am I off by much? The NFL clearly likes what Sark is doing in Austin. That was obvious over the last several days. Additionally, his connections within the NFL are paying dividends for his players.

This is true, but I was only really addressing the talent level and the appeal to NFL teams. As we all know, often talent does not translate. But if you add in Sark’s obsession with culture and the manner in which the staff is developing talent, and one has to be optimistic about the upcoming season.

By the way, on my list I forgot to include Silas Bolden.

I’m really happy for all of our guys who got drafted but Brooks is one of my favorites. For a guy that talented to sit behind 2 other enormously talented backs and watch them get all the glory for 2 years while waiting for his turn says a lot about him. I wish other kids would look at Brooks as an example of patience and perseverance and not be so quick to transfer for the instant gratification of playing time.

I really hope Brooks has a marvelous injury free career. Hook ‘em Jonathan!

no doubt in my mind we have 3 future first round QB draft picks on this team.
How often can that be said? Having said that, i hope QB3 sticks around. so its important to get a really good QB in '25.

Unfortunately, the odds are Brooks and Sanders will be buried in the hell hole that is the Carolina Panthers.

Your lock list behind Ewers and Banks is wayyy too optimistic for some of those guys. I'd say the only ones on there that are actual locks for either NFL draft from 2025-26 are Bond and Campbell. The rest of them should fall under the "may be drafted" moniker. That doesn't mean that the rest of them won't get drafted, but I think it's more likely than not that they fall to "Jaylan Ford" territory... i.e. they'll probably get drafted late by someone who has a position need.

So, if your list is 26 and mine is 4, I'd say you're off by much.

I really hope Brooks gets the hell out of there to somewhere not named Cleveland.

I'm not overreacting when I say that the Chiefs are eventually vacating the Missouri side of the border. The Hunt family might have $billions in different areas, but they're not spending to placate the city/county people.

They're moving to Kansas sooner rather than later.
