Not naming a starter when "the kids know who it should be" isnt going to keep kids from transferring. Chip Kelly has never had the kind of success that pushed him to the top at Oregon. Not sure if it was him or those behind him that made his name.

As far back as when I was in high school, our coach bought the previous year's varsity jerseys from area schools for our practice jerseys. There was a large board outside the training room that showed what team you were on that day. I remember we had red jerseys from Bridge City (yes, someone got to wear Steve Worster's jersey & had I known what a great friend Worsterman would be, I would have stolen it for him); gold team came from Sulphur Golden Tors (think LSU jerseys with blue instead of purple). Somewhere I still have the Sulphur #25 I won from their RB when they were preseason #1 in the swamps. Purple team & white team were our former game jerseys. We got green from South Park, but they were so damn heavy no one could stand them. LSU won a natty with that system and the wing T, so everyone was converting to their system.
Wow. That’s like the 3 reading groups in my first grade class, many decades ago: the Buffaloes, the Eagles, and the … somethings … can’t remember the animal mascot for the 3rd group. Probably something related to the Texas Panhandle. Maybe it was Pronghorns. Or Rattlesnakes. I was in the Buffaloes, of course.
I always wanted a team with Pronghorns as the mascot. Really felt like Andrews relay teams that set the national records would be an appropriate candidate.

11, Not sure I understand your post. Which are you saying is a bigger "fraud"; NCAA or Harbaugh? I can't stand either one, but at least Harbaugh has the balls to standup for something whether he's right or wrong.
I wasn't comparatively ranking Harbaugh vs. the NCAA, as they're both frauds. I was saying that there's no way anyone would need to hire him away and prove to the college football overlords that he's a changed man, as the NFL is his last logical job change.

They were certainly on great terms with the judges. They hold that record that will NEVER be equaled, much less broken for most players out on bond playing in a bowl game.
